Sloan is from New Market, Al. He received a Bachelors Degree in Forestry with a minor in Wildlife Biology from Alabama A&M and also played football at University of Georgia. He has nearly two decades of experience in landscape/maintenance. 14 years in landscape installation and 5.5 years of golf turf maintenance.

When not working, you can find Sloan spending time with his wife Meaghan and his two twin daughters Harper and Emerson, and little brother on the way. He enjoys family hikes, playing outdoors, yard work and he has a big-time passion for kayak fishing.
