Half of every landscape’s life happens at night, and most of the year in Alabama, that is exactly when you are home to enjoy it. Lighting is what keeps the investment visible: the oak canopy floating above the drive, the stone texture on the columns, the path that welcomes instead of trips. Done well, you never notice fixtures at all. You notice the garden.
The craft is restraint. Amateur lighting floods everything evenly and flattens the yard into a parking lot; designed lighting chooses what deserves attention and lets the rest fall to shadow. We work in warm, low-voltage LED, up-lights in the trees, wash on the stone, discreet path lights where feet need them, wiring buried properly and transformers sized with room to grow.
Light is the finishing layer on everything else we build: patios that host after sunset, water that glows, entries that greet you home.

We look at the property in the dark, because that is the canvas. What should the eye find first from the street, and from the kitchen window?
The design
Drew Treece plans scenes, not fixtures: arrival, gathering, and the quiet corners worth a glow.
The install
Clean trenching, buried wire, fixtures aimed and re-aimed after dark, run by a project manager who keeps you informed.
The reveal
The first evening walk-through is the best moment in this trade. We make the final aim adjustments with you standing there.
Lighting Questions, Answered
Can lighting be added to an existing landscape?
Yes, it is one of the highest-impact upgrades a finished yard can get, and installation is gentle on established beds.
What about energy use and bulb life?
Modern low-voltage LED sips power and runs for years. The days of burned-out halogen every season are over.
Can we start small and add later?
Lighting is the most phaseable thing we build. Size the transformer with room to grow, light the arrival first, and add scenes season by season.
