We Gather
On the Patio

Gather Your Friends.
What is lovelier than than sitting al fresco, soaking up the sun’s warmth? Whether you’re surrounded by family and friends or enjoying blissful alone time, we can create a patio that serves as a perfect outdoor oasis.
Inviting. Relaxing. Entertaining.
Patio living brings people together. With over 20 years’ experience, we know how to create outdoor living spaces that appeal to all ages!
The Craft Beneath the Surface
A patio earns its keep twice: once in the surface you see, and once in the base you never will. North Alabama clay moves with the seasons, so before a single paver is set we build downward. Excavation, compacted stone, a drainage plane that carries water away from your foundation instead of toward it. It is slower this way. It is also why our work stays flat and true while shortcuts heave and settle.
Material sets the character. Travertine stays cool underfoot through an August afternoon. Bluestone brings a quiet formality. Clay pavers age the way brick homes do, better every decade. Stamped and finished concrete gives clean, modern lines at a friendlier budget. Drew Treece, our designer, draws each patio around the house it belongs to, the trees it lives under, and the way you actually plan to use it.
Few patios stand alone. The ones we love most gather other rooms around them: an outdoor kitchen within passing distance of the table, a fire feature that stretches the evening deep into November, low lighting that keeps the conversation going after dark.
Built Here Since 1996
More than a thousand Tennessee Valley projects have taught us exactly what this climate and this clay do to good intentions, and how to build past both. Our crews are licensed and insured, our workmanship carries a one-year written warranty, and when you write to us a real person answers within a day.
How Your Patio Comes Together
Walk the ground
We come to you, walk the site, and talk about how you live outside. The measurements and grades we take on that first visit decide what is possible.
The design
Drew draws the patio into a plan you can react to: layout, materials, planting, and the details worth doing right the first time.
The build
A dedicated project manager, Adam, Brandon, or Paul, runs the job from first excavation to final sweep and keeps you informed the whole way through.
The handover
We walk the finished patio together before we call it done, and we stand behind it after. One year on workmanship, six months on plants, in writing.
Patio Questions, Answered
Which patio material lasts longest here?
Built on a proper base, all of them go decades. Longevity lives in the base preparation more than the surface, so we help you choose by look, feel, and budget, then build the part underneath the same way every time.
Do you warranty your work?
One year on workmanship and six months on plant material.
Can you extend or resurface an existing patio?
Often, yes. If the base underneath is sound we can extend, re-lay, or re-border what you have; if it is not, we will show you why and quote the honest fix rather than a cosmetic one.
